In Italy, during 2015, Toto Costruzioni Generali will begin work on three new sites, in addition to those under way for some years, such as the Valico Variant. Then the new motorway site will be opened in Polanda by the end of the year.
The three Italian contracts amount to an overall cost of around € 520 million.
The first concerns railways, in Sicily. The doubling of the Cefalù-Castelbuonoa stretch on the Palermo-Messina line, an order worth € 246 million for RFI-ITALFERR, which involves the simultaneous use of two TBMs for the excavation of a twin-tube tunnel.
In Liguria we are restarting work on the third stage of the Variant on the SS1 Aurelia main road, between Felettino and the La Spezia - Santo Stefano di Magra motorway junction, a job for ANAS and worth more than € 128 million. Still in Sicily, for the redevelopment of the Ritiro viaduct and the construction of two interchanges on the A20 motorway, nodal infrastructures for the Messina road system, with C.A.S. allocating around € 45 million.
